The fine printEverything the license says (Bensound Free License)Show details

You may

  • Use tracks marked 'Free Music' free of charge in online videos or live streams that anyone can watch for free
  • Monetize YouTube videos that use the free license (FAQ)
  • Use them in theatrical performances and films, but only for education and only if they earn no money
  • Use one track in one video for each download

You may not

  • Use the free license for ads or other commercial or revenue projects outside the permitted uses
  • Remix the tracks
  • Distribute, resell or play the music on its own, apart from your project
  • Claim you are the creator or owner
  • Register the tracks with YouTube Content ID, Facebook Rights Manager, TikTok Commercial Music Library or similar systems
  • Use it in apps, games or podcasts (outside the free license scope)
Credit
Required. For online videos, paste the attribution text and its unique license code, which you get when you download the track, into the video description. Each attribution text covers one video only. For other permitted uses, make a reasonable effort to credit Bensound.
Limits
Only tracks marked 'Free Music'. One video per download, so download again for each new video to get a new code. Online videos must be free to access.
YouTube Content ID
You may not register the music with Content ID. The FAQ says free users can still get claims. If that happens, download the track again for a fresh attribution text and dispute the claim on YouTube.
How long it lasts
The Free License is revocable. The terms do not say whether videos already published can stay up after it is revoked.
