You may

  • Use sounds and music in unlimited personal, commercial and broadcast projects, worldwide and in perpetuity
  • Film, TV, radio, commercials, podcasts, audiobooks and streaming
  • YouTube, Twitch, social media, websites and blogs
  • Games, apps, software, presentations, education, theatre and live events
  • Edit, adapt or combine sounds within your projects

You may not

  • Sharing, selling or sublicensing the sounds to others
  • Redistributing them via sound libraries, apps, file sharing or physical media
  • Products where the sounds are the main value
  • Remixing music tracks into new standalone works
  • Physical products without a separate agreement
  • Training AI or machine learning models
Credit
Required for Basic (free) users: credit 'ZapSplat' wherever reasonably possible in the project, e.g. end credits, video description, acknowledgements or documentation. Premium users need no credit.
Limits
Own ZapSplat account required. Free users get MP3 only and are subject to download limits (number not stated). Worldwide.
YouTube Content ID
ZapSplat says it holds the rights needed and runs systems to prevent third-party claims, admits automated systems can occasionally make mistaken claims, and offers help clearing them.
How long it lasts
Free license is granted in perpetuity. Sounds downloaded during an active Premium subscription stay licensed attribution-free for life after cancelling.
